Principal's Corner
Dr. Marlon Robinson
Dr. Marlon Robinson was named as the next principal of Huntington Middle School during the Houston County Board of Education meeting held on March 14, 2023. Dr. Robinson began his role in June 2023 after the retirement of the Dr. Gwendolyn Taylor.
Dr. Robinson served as an Assistant Principal at Bonaire Middle School from 2009 to 2023. Prior to that, he taught math for 11 years at Perry High School where he also coached softball, basketball, and baseball. In 2004, he was named as the Teacher of the Year for Perry High.
“I am so excited and honored to be named principal of Huntington Middle School,” said Dr. Robinson. “I am looking forward to working with every stakeholder to continue to move Huntington Middle School onward and upward.”
Dr. Robinson has an associate’s degree in secondary education from Middle Georgia College and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Fort Valley State University. He earned a master's degree in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Higher Education from Nova Southeastern University.
He is married to Marien Robinson and is a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
