Bio

Welcome to Mr. Moulliet's  7th Grade Social Studies Class. This will be my fifth year teaching Middle School. I received a BFA (Bachelors of Fine Arts) in Communication and Public Relations from Valdosta State University and a MAT (Masters in Teaching) from Georgia College and State University.  I am currently certified to teach English/Language Arts and Social Studies from 6th Grade to 12th Grade. Before I became a teacher I worked in the hospitality industry. The two major companies that I worked for was The Walt Disney Company and Marriott International. This year I will be coaching Soccer.

History is very important to me. I grew up in a military family and we moved around a lot and I always enjoyed stopping at forts, museums, and historical sites. Also, I was born New Orleans Louisiana which is a very historical city so love of these stories of our past is in my blood.

I became a teacher for several different reasons. One being that, I believe knowledge is one of the greatest gifts one can give. I also feel that education is a field that allows for life changing experiences to exist every day. Ultimately, I became a teacher because I want to connect, motivate, and inspire the future leaders of tomorrow. I truly believe in my heart that the pursuit of knowledge is never finished. Similarly, education is designed to change and at times reinvent itself. Through all of the changes that education goes through year by year, one pure goal remains the same. This goal is that all students continue to move forward. My job is to encourage them to do so, and I love my job.

I know that History is not always every students cup of tea. I believe it is the basic building blocks of our society. History shows us where we came from, where we are now, and what could happen in the future. History is not just random people, facts and dates; it is the stories of our beginning as a people.
